*RC Quizzes will be taken after you finish the book and only taken at school. Averages will be taken at the end of the month for a Fiction grade and Non-Fiction grade.

Topic 8: algebraic expressions; order of operations
Science (with Mrs. Ruso)
Students have learned about the sun and our 8 planets. We have explored other celestial objects in our solar system such as comets, asteroids, meteors and moons. Next we will dive into identifing galaxies. We will have a Test on Friday 2/21/2020.
Students should be able to:
- Distinguish among the following objects of the Solar System -- Sun, planets, moons, asteroids, comets -- and identify Earth's position in it
- Recognize the major common characteristics of all planets and compare/contrast the properties of inner and outer planets.
- Understanding the pattern of moon phases
- Distinguish what how Earth's rotation and revolution affects its inhabitants.
Social Studies ( with Mrs. Ruso)
We will be begin typing up our Jamestown DBQ essays. Students must focus their informative essay around the question: Early Jamestown, why did so many colonist die? They will follow a rubric and include three supporting reasons that are backed up with evidence from the documents that we analyzed in class. DBQ Essays are due 2/17/2020.
